The Lost, and now Recovered!, sfgal.onsugar.com Fashion Photos
Hi friends! For those of you who have known me for a little while, you know I always have to bring my A+ fashion game wherever I go but with comfort and quality in mind.
I recently had to transfer all of my sfgal.onsugar.com posts to this site because they've shut down that CMS. My content included trips to an Oscar de la Renta exhibit at the Legion of Honor, a trip back in time to a San Francisco costume designer's personal Hollywood collection, and other musings dating back to 2013.
So, without further ado, here is just some of my content transferred from that service. I will update the content continually. Enjoy and happy fashion-finding my lovelies!

Hollywood Legends: The Barry Barsamian Collection is Fabulous! (looking for these lost photos!!!)
There's the saying "Everything old is new again"... and its comeback in a big way especially in fashion. Neon leggings, florescent sunglasses, and yes Hammer pants (as seen in the incredibly disappointing Sex and the City 2... I have the whole set of the series but for some reason, the franchise has now become a tired, overstuffed look at four women who would never really co-exist like that in NYC).
But there is a silver lining even though it will make me sound like an 80-year-old woman reminiscing about the days of Carey Grant and Grace Kelly.
I recently stopped by the Barry Barsamian Hollywood Legends Collection at the Sony Metreon Theatre in San Francisco and it was fabulous (the link has Barry's backstory on how he got into collecting these items and how to go to see the display)! My apologies for using my cell phone camera as I didn't have my regular digital cam on hand!
The collection features everything from Old Hollywood including clothes from movies like the Wizard of Oz (I didn't get a picture of it but there's one of the original costumes Judy Garland wore in the film on display there) and television like I Dream of Jeanie and I Love Lucy. I think most of my interest in TV nostalgia comes from not having cable as a child and a mother who listened and watched Dean Martin reruns and Mamas and the Papas records on vinyl.
Anyway, here's more from the collection. (looking for those lost photos)
This may have been worn by Elizabeth Montgomery from Bewitched in the 60's but I'm not quite sure. There were these little stars above the outfits that said who wore these but I stupidly didn't write them down. I have to remember by sight. Regardless, this dress among many others, are impeccably put together. Even the bright pink sequined jacket worn by Madonna was, while pretty 80's and with its large shoulder pads, was beautifully made.
These gloves were worn by the late Princess Grace Kelly. They were part of a showbox full of goodies from that time including size 5 1/2 heels worn by Judy Garland and one of many wigs worn by comedienne Phyllis Diller.
There was also a gorgeous collection of jewelry with necklaces, rings and earrings from Mommy Dearest's Joan Crawford and Natalie Wood.
See the Barry Barsamian collection!
